The AirTAC GFR400C10MJF2W AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8, 5 um, psi is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C10MJF2W is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration carries a PT3/8 (3/8 inch) port with PT thread, a 5 um filter element for finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade, a manual drain for the bowl, and a built-in square gauge scaled in psi. The standard regulator covers 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) and max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing); the bowl on size 400 is polycarbonate (PC).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, and is available with automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, MPa, psi or bar gauge scales, G or NPT thread options, and with or without a mounting bracket. Rated flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

A bench-mounted pneumatic press needs clean, moisture-reduced air held at a stable set pressure for consistent forming force. This filter regulator conditions the supply at the point of use, with the psi square gauge letting the operator read and set the working pressure directly, and the 5 um element protecting the press cylinder and valve from fine particulate.
Carton sealing and wrapping machines run air cylinders and pneumatic actuators continuously on a plant air ring main. A filter regulator at the machine inlet strips water and debris from the ring-main supply and drops it to the pressure the machine controls were set up for, with manual drain fitted for scheduled daily condensate removal during shift checks.
Pneumatically actuated process valves and positioners depend on a clean, regulated instrument-air supply to stroke predictably. This unit filters the supply to 5 um and regulates it to the pressure the positioner expects, with the psi gauge giving technicians a direct local reading during calibration and troubleshooting rounds.
Choose the size and port step (200/300/400/600, 1/8 to 1 inch) against the air demand of the circuit - larger sizes carry larger ports and more flow. On drain: manual drain (this configuration) means an operator opens the drain periodically; automatic and differential-pressure drains discharge condensate without that manual step. On filtration: 40 um is the standard element; the W code selects the finer 5 um element, as fitted here. Gauge options are an embedded square gauge (standard, fitted here in psi) or an external round gauge, with MPa, psi or bar scales. Thread is PT as standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are catalogue options to order. A mounting bracket is optional (this code specifies no bracket).
Flow for the GFR series is published as curves, not a single rated number, so we do not quote a rated flow figure. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet and check the sizing against your required flow before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not state a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number for this unit. Tell us your line pressure, downstream pressure setting and required air demand, and we will confirm the datasheet and check the curve against your application before you order.
The M in the code selects a manual drain: an operator opens the drain to expel collected condensate, which suits stations that are checked on a regular schedule. The GFR series is also available with an automatic drain (code A) or a differential-pressure drain (blank code) that discharge condensate without a manual step. Note that with a manual drain the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
