The AirTAC GFR400C10MLNWT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C10MLNWT is a size 400 filter regulator: water and particulate removal plus downstream pressure regulation in a single body. This configuration carries a 3/8 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), a manual drain on the metal bowl, and the low-pressure regulator type. No gauge is fitted on this variant, and the mounting bracket is included. Maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um standard or 5 um (W) elements, gauge options, and PT (standard), G or NPT threads to order. Because AirTAC publishes flow only as curves rather than a single rated figure, we confirm flow and datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Placed ahead of an air-over-oil press cylinder, it removes water and fine particulate from the shop-air drop and lets the setter hold the reduced pressure the tooling was designed for, with the 5 um element protecting the valve seat surface.
On the 3/8 in branch feeding conveyor stop and pusher cylinders, it conditions the supply and regulates branch pressure independently of the main header, with the manual drain emptied during shift-start checks.
Feeding air jets and low-pressure actuation on a weaving or spinning frame, it filters the mill compressed air to 5 um and holds the gentle regulated pressure such machines call for, with the low-pressure regulator type matched to the duty.
Size 400 with a 3/8 in port sits in the middle of the GFR range; step up to size 600 or down to 300/200 depending on the flow your line needs - and because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against the application before ordering. This unit has the manual drain, which suits installations where an operator drains the bowl as part of a routine; choose automatic or differential-pressure drain variants where the bowl cannot be attended. The 5 um element (code W) is the finer grade versus the 40 um standard - pick 5 um where downstream valves and cylinders need cleaner air. No gauge is fitted on this variant; gauge options and pressure scales can be specified on other codes. Thread here is NPT; PT is the standard thread and G is also a catalogue option. A mounting bracket is included.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated number, so there is no one figure we can honestly quote. Send us your line pressure and the flow your application needs and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
A manual drain means an operator opens the bowl drain to expel collected water, which suits attended installations on a maintenance round. If the unit will sit in an inaccessible spot or run unattended, the automatic or differential-pressure drain variants of the same GFR400 size are the better decode choice.
