The AirTAC GFR400C15AC3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15AC3TK is a filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure, so a single 1/2 in unit conditions the line where a separate filter and regulator would take two. This configuration is the size 400 body with a 1/2 in NPT port, the standard 40 um filtration grade, an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without anyone opening the bowl, a fitted reverse/check valve that holds the set pressure when upstream air is lost, and an external round gauge reading in bar. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of automatic, manual or differential-pressure drain, a 5 um element option, gauge scale choices and G/NPT thread options. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds a clean, regulated 1/2 in supply to the tool-change and clamping circuits on a machining centre, with the automatic drain and check valve keeping the circuit dry and holding pressure through supply dips.
Conditions the air feeding conveyor diverters, case sealers and bagger cylinders, so the 40 um element stops scale and rust reaching valve spools while the regulator holds a steady working pressure.
Sits at a branch off a factory compressed-air ring main, filtering and regulating the supply for a workshop bay, with the bar gauge giving operators a local pressure readout at the point of use.
Start with the port step: this unit is size 400 with a 1/2 in NPT port; if your line is 3/8 in or 3/4 in, check whether the neighbouring GFR300 or GFR600 size matches the pipe and the flow curve better. Drain choice matters in unattended plant: the automatic drain on this model suits lines without a daily walk-round, while manual and differential-pressure drains are available in the same family. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W code for 5 um if downstream valves or cylinders need finer protection. The fitted round gauge reads in bar; square embedded gauges and MPa or psi scales are alternatives. Thread is NPT here, with G(BSPP) and PT orderable. A mounting bracket is included. Because flow is published as curves, not a single rating, send us your air demand and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your air demand and line conditions and we will confirm the datasheet curve and correct size for your application on request.
The A in the code is the automatic drain: collected condensate is ejected from the bowl without manual intervention, which suits unattended lines. The K is a reverse/check valve that holds the regulated downstream pressure if upstream supply is interrupted. Both are decodable options; manual or differential-pressure drains and a unit without the check valve are available in the same family.
