The AirTAC GFR400C15AJC1WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15AJC1WTK is a GFR400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setpoint in a single body. This configuration has a 1/2 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the 40 um standard grade is also available in the range), an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, and an external round gauge reading in MPa. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), a reverse/check valve is fitted, and the unit is supplied without a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and at size 400 the polycarbonate bowl gives a clear view of condensate level and drain operation.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and can be ordered with manual or differential-pressure drains as well as automatic, a 40 um or 5 um element, embedded square or external round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, with or without a bracket, and with or without a reverse/check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air feeding the machine tool's solenoid valves and clamping fixtures, with the 5 um element guarding fine valve internals and the automatic drain handling condensate through multi-shift running.
Conditioning the air that drives pick-and-place cylinders and carton sealers on a packaging conveyor, holding a stable setpoint so stroke timing and sealing force stay repeatable across the shift.
A filtered, regulated drop at an assembly workstation running air screwdrivers and torque tools, with the round MPa gauge letting operators verify line pressure at a glance and the check valve holding the setting if supply air is interrupted.
The meaningful choices in this family are all decodable from the code. Step through sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 to match the port and flow band your line needs - this unit is size 400 with a 1/2 in NPT port. Choose the drain: automatic (as here) for unattended condensate removal, manual for periodic draining, or the differential-pressure default. Choose the element: 40 um standard, or 5 um (code W) where finer filtration protects downstream equipment. Gauge options are the embedded square gauge or an external round gauge, in MPa, psi or bar scales; thread is PT as standard with G and NPT as order options; a bracket can be included or omitted; and a reverse/check valve can be fitted to hold downstream pressure on air failure. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow and sizing from the datasheet on request.
The 40 um element is the standard grade for general air preparation. The 5 um element (code W) fitted to this unit is selected where finer particulate removal protects downstream valves, cylinders or instruments. Both grades are available across the GFR range, and this unit also adds an automatic drain so collected water is expelled without manual attention.
