A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at the take-off point of a factory air ring, the unit filters condensed water and pipe-scale from the main supply and holds a reduced, stable pressure for a low-pressure distribution leg feeding downstream equipment.
Mounted at the drop feeding a machining-fixture clamping circuit, the unit removes water and particulate before the valves and holds the reduced working pressure the clamp cylinders are set up for, with the MPa gauge giving the setter a direct reading.
Fitted on the 1 in supply drop to a packaging line's conveyor and gating section, the unit conditions the incoming compressed air - dropping water and particles - and regulates it down to the pressure the line's actuators are set up to run at.
Size and port are the first decision: 200, 300, 400 and 600 step up in port size and flow capacity, so match the size to the air demand of the circuit - here the 600 size with its 1 in NPT port suits the largest supply lines in the range. Drain type is a real choice: differential-pressure (as decoded here) drains automatically as the pressure differential builds, while automatic and manual variants are also available in the family. The 40 um element is standard; specify the W code for 5 um where finer filtration is needed. Gauge scale can be MPa, psi or bar - this unit carries a round gauge scaled in MPa.
