About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD100X120S
A double acting compact cylinder with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD100X120S delivers 3681.6 N in each direction at 0.5 MPa because both strokes work on the rod-side area. The 100 mm bore drives a 25 mm hard-chrome S45C rod through a hard-anodized aluminium body, with a fixed TPU bumper at each end and a 1/4" PT port. The through-rod resists rotation and side load, gives a symmetric mount, and the rear rod can carry a sensor flag. This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches mount directly on the body.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it suits tight gantries and heavy clamping fixtures. At 0.5 MPa the usable working force is roughly 2209 N after derating, which lifts about 187 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin - enough to raise a loaded pallet fixture or a steel die set. Note that this ACPD is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ACED100X120, and you should confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

The piston does not hold position when air is lost - add a rod lock or pilot check for a held load. FA/FB flange and LB foot mounts bolt to the ISO 21287 face, and the fitted -S magnet accepts CMSE / DMSE switches.
