About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD100X15B
A double acting compact cylinder with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD100X15B pushes and pulls with identical output: 3681.6 N at 0.5 MPa and 5154.2 N at 0.7 MPa in each direction, since both strokes work on the rod-side area. The 100 mm bore drives a 25 mm hard-chrome S45C rod through a hard-anodized aluminium body, with a fixed TPU bumper at each end and speeds of 30-500 mm/s. This model is discontinued; the current-production successor is the ACED100X15.
The through-rod resists rotation and side load and gives a symmetric mount, so the rear rod can carry a sensor flag or a second tooling plate. The short ISO 21287 body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which suits tight presses and clamping fixtures. In practice, plan on roughly 2209 N (about 225 kg of push) at 0.5 MPa rather than the full rating, and the same force is available on the return stroke. Note that no magnet is fitted on this version; the optional -S code adds one for CMSE / DMSE switches.

Replacing the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD100X15B with the ACED100X15B
At 3681.6 N per direction this is the top of the ACPD range; if your load needs less than 2356.2 N at 0.5 MPa, the 80 mm bore saves air and cost, while there is no larger bore in the family. The 15 mm stroke suits short clamp-and-release moves, and 300 mm is the maximum standard stroke for this bore. The male rod thread (B code) takes I/Y knuckles directly, and FA/FB flange or LB foot mounts bolt to the ISO 21287 face. A plain double-rod cylinder drifts when air is lost, so add a rod lock or pilot check for a held load. Order the ACED100X15 as the drop-in replacement and confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
