This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACED100X350 — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ACED100X350 in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD100X350 is a double acting, double rod DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø100mm bore and 350mm stroke, 1/4" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACED100X350 (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACPD100X350 is a double acting, double-rod compact cylinder in the DIN-standard ACP series, now discontinued. A 25 mm rod exits both hard-anodized aluminium covers, so the piston pushes and pulls with identical force: 3681.6 N at 0.5 MPa and 5154.2 N at 0.7 MPa in each direction, peaking at 750.8 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it fits deep presses, gantries and guarded cells where a full-length body cannot. The 350 mm stroke is above the 300 mm standard maximum for the 100 mm bore, so this unit is made to order.
Practically, plan on roughly 2209 N of usable work at 0.5 MPa (about 60% of the rating) and expect the rod-side area to lift about 188 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. The through-rod resists rotation and side load, gives a symmetric mounting face, and lets the rear rod carry a sensor flag or a second tool. Fixed TPU bumpers pad both ends, speed spans 30-500 mm/s, and air supply is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) filtered to 40 um. This model carries no magnet; order the optional -S code if you need CMSE or DMSE switches. For new builds, the current-production drop-in is the ACED100X350 - confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP is DIN-standard.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ACED100X350 (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.

|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 3682 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 5154 N |
| Max (@1.0 MPa) | 751 kgf |
Double-rod: a rod exits both covers, so output force is equal in both directions (rod-side area used).
| ACPD | DIN compact cylinder (double-rod, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 100 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×350 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 3681.6 N rod-side thrust in both directions compacts aluminium chips and offcuts in a shop-floor baler, and the 350 mm stroke clears a deep bin in one stroke.
With about 188 kg of vertical lift capacity at a 2:1 margin, the through-rod raises and lowers a tray stacker head, the rear rod carrying a flag for position sensing.
A rod on each cover lets one cylinder clamp a steel fabrication from both faces with equal 5154.2 N force at 0.7 MPa, halving the valve count in the cell.
At 100 mm bore this is the top of the ACPD range: 3681.6 N both ways at 0.5 MPa. If your load needs under 1458.1 N, the 63 mm bore does the same job in a smaller body; there is no larger ACPD bore, so step up to a bigger series if 5154.2 N at 0.7 MPa is not enough. Remember the piston drifts when air is lost - add a rod lock or pilot check if the load must stay put. Mount with FA/FB flange or LB foot, and note the 350 mm stroke is a made-to-order length beyond the 300 mm standard. For current production, order the ACED100X350 instead.
Replacement checklist
No - it is a double-rod cylinder, so force is equal in both directions because both strokes use the rod-side area. At 0.5 MPa you get 3681.6 N each way, at 0.7 MPa 5154.2 N each way, and the maximum at 1.0 MPa is 750.8 kgf. Operating range is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) with proof pressure of 1.5 MPa (215 psi), and speed runs 30-500 mm/s.
Yes. The standard maximum stroke for the 100 mm bore is 300 mm, so 350 mm is a non-standard, made-to-order length - allow extra lead time. Also note the ACPD family is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ACED100X350 (swap the P for an E), which matches the same bore, stroke and force class. Confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, because the ACP is DIN-standard.
