About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD100X45B
A double acting compact cylinder with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD100X45B pushes and pulls with identical output: 3681.6 N at 0.5 MPa and 5154.2 N at 0.7 MPa in each direction, since both strokes work on the rod-side area. The 100 mm bore drives a 25 mm hard-chrome S45C rod through a hard-anodized aluminium body, with a fixed TPU bumper at each end and a male rod thread (B code) on both ends. Note that this model is discontinued; the current-production successor is the ACED100X45 in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The through-rod resists rotation and side load and gives a symmetric mount, so the rear rod can carry a sensor flag or a second tooling plate. The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which matters in tight press fixtures and gantries. At 0.5 MPa plan for about 2209 N (roughly 225 kg of push) as the usable working force, and the same force lifts about 375 kg vertically, or about 187 kg with a 2:1 margin. Speed range is 30-500 mm/s over 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi). No magnet is fitted on this code; order the optional -S version if you need CMSE / DMSE switch positions.

Replacing the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD100X45B with the ACED100X45B
Choose this 100 mm bore when you need about 3681.6 N (375 kgf) of equal force in both directions over a 45 mm stroke and want the rear rod for guiding or a flag. If the job needs less force, the 80 mm bore of the same family delivers 2356.2 N at 0.5 MPa; if you need more, step up is not available in this series, so confirm from datasheet. For position holding with air off, this cylinder drifts - add a rod lock or pilot check valve. Mount with FA/FB flange or LB foot brackets that bolt to the ISO 21287 face. Since ACPD is discontinued, order the ACED100X45 as the drop-in and verify the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

FA/FB flange, LB foot and the optional -S magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches carry over in the successor family.
