About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD100X55B
Double acting with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD100X55B pushes and pulls with identical output: 3681.6 N at 0.5 MPa and 5154.2 N at 0.7 MPa in each direction, because both strokes work on the rod-side area. The 100 mm bore drives a 25 mm hard-chrome S45C rod through a hard-anodized aluminium body, with a fixed TPU bumper at each end and a male rod thread (B code). Note this model is discontinued; the current-production successor is the ACED100X55.
The through-rod resists rotation and side load and gives a symmetric mount, so the rear rod can carry a tool, a workpiece or a sensor flag. Its short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it suits tight gantries and press fixtures. At 0.5 MPa plan for about 2209 N (roughly 225 kg) of real work, or about 188 kg of vertical lift with a 2:1 margin. Speed range is 30-500 mm/s over 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi).
