About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD50X175
A double acting compact cylinder with a through rod, the ACPD50X175 drives a 50 mm bore over a 175 mm stroke and pushes 881.2 N in EACH direction at 0.5 MPa, because both strokes work on the rod-side area. At 0.7 MPa that rises to 1233.7 N either way, peaking at 179.7 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The 16 mm rod exits both covers, so the rear rod resists rotation and side load and can carry a sensor flag while the front rod does the work.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it suits tight guarding and slide assemblies. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends and the hard-anodized aluminium body carries an S45C hard-chrome rod. In practice, plan on about 529 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa - enough to lift roughly 45 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note: this model is discontinued; the current drop-in is the ACED50X175, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
