About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD63X10S
Double acting with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD63X10S pushes and pulls with identical output: 1458.1 N at 0.5 MPa and 2041.3 N at 0.7 MPa in either direction, because both strokes work on the rod-side area of the 63 mm piston. The 10 mm stroke suits short clamp-and-release moves, and the through-rod resists rotation and side load while the rear rod end can carry a sensor flag. A fixed TPU bumper sits at each end and the cylinder runs at 30-500 mm/s on air filtered to 40 um, across 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) and -20 to +70 C.
The hard-anodized aluminium body is an ISO 21287-class compact build that saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight fixtures. In practice, plan on roughly 875 N (about 89 kg) of real work at 0.5 MPa rather than the full rating, which means it lifts about 74 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. The S code on this model means the optional -S magnet is fitted, so CMSE or DMSE switches can be mounted directly on the body. Note that this model is discontinued: the current-production replacement is the ACED63X10, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

At 1458.1 N per side at 0.5 MPa, this 63 mm bore sits between the 50 mm (881.2 N) and 80 mm (2356.2 N) double-rod versions, so step down for lighter clamps or up for heavier presses. The 10 mm stroke is well inside the 250 mm maximum standard stroke for this bore. Because a plain double-rod cylinder drifts when air is lost, add a rod lock or pilot check if the load must stay put. FA/FB flange and LB foot mountings bolt to the ISO 21287 face, and the fitted -S magnet accepts CMSE / DMSE switches. Order the ACED63X10 as the current drop-in and verify the mounting dimensions first.
