About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD63X35
A double acting compact cylinder with a rod through both covers, the ACPD63X35 delivers 1458.1 N at 0.5 MPa in each direction because both strokes work on the rod-side area - there is no larger push than pull on this bore. The 16 mm hard-chrome S45C through-rod resists rotation and side load, and the rear rod can carry a sensor flag while the front rod does the work. Its hard-anodized aluminium body keeps the mounting length about 50% shorter than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so a 63 mm bore fits clamping fixtures and gantries where a full-length body will not.
At 0.5 MPa the usable working force is roughly 875 N once you plan for a 0.6 margin, which lifts about 74 kg vertically with a 2:1 safety factor - enough to index a loaded pallet or press-fit a bushing. Speed range is 30-500 mm/s with fixed TPU bumpers at both ends. Note this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ACED63X35 in the same bore, stroke and force class, so confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
