About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD80X10S
A double acting compact cylinder with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD80X10S delivers 2356.2 N in either direction at 0.5 MPa because both strokes work on the rod-side area. The 80 mm bore turns 0.7 MPa into 3298.7 N each way, and the through-rod on the back cover doubles as a mounting point or sensor-flag carrier. This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be clipped on for end-of-stroke signalling.
The hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod follows the short ISO 21287-style layout, cutting roughly 50% of the mounting length compared with an ISO 15552 profile cylinder - useful in tight press fixtures and gantries. Fixed TPU bumpers sit at both ends, speed runs 30-500 mm/s, and the 1/4" ports take air filtered to 40 um at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi). Note the family is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is ACED80X10, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
