About the Airtac MACJ Stainless Steel Mini Adjustable Cylinder MACJ16X100-30S
The MACJ16X100-30S is AirTAC's double-acting, adjustable-stroke mini cylinder in the round-body MA series: a 100 mm extend stroke you can shorten by up to 30 mm on site with the external stop screw, plus a variable air cushion at both ends. Rated 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), it pushes 100.5 N and pulls 86.4 N at 0.5 MPa through an M5x0.8 port.
Its riveted stainless barrel and hard-chrome plated 6 mm rod shrug off the moisture that ruins painted minis, so it holds up in washdown corners and outdoor frames. The magnet is built in as standard, so CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switches bolt on without a special piston. Sizing tip: plan on about 60 N of real work at 0.5 MPa, which lifts roughly 5 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin.

Bore 16 is the smallest in the MA range; if 100.5 N at 0.5 MPa falls short, step up to bore 20 (157 N push at 0.5 MPa) or bore 25 (245.3 N). The stop screw pins the extend endpoint only - it is not a brake, so the rod can still drift if air pressure is lost. Mount with the FA flange or LB foot, add I or Y rod knuckles if the load pivots, and keep side loads off the 6 mm rod over the 100 mm travel to protect the barrel.
