If 981.3 N at 0.5 MPa oversizes the job, the 40 mm bore still makes 628.3 N; if it falls short, the 63 mm delivers 1557.9 N. A 40 mm stroke at 30-800 mm/s crosses its travel in as little as 0.05 s, so keep side loads off the 16 mm rod or guide the load externally. Remember the stop only sets the extend bottom-out point; it is not a brake, and a dropped supply lets the piston move again.
