About the Airtac MACJ Stainless Steel Mini Adjustable Cylinder MACJ50X50-20S
AirTAC's rolled MA construction gives the MACJ50X50-20S its edge: a stainless round barrel with the aluminium-alloy covers and stainless block riveted on, plus a two-way piston seal that stores its own grease. This double-acting, adjustable-stroke version with variable cushions at both ends shortens extend travel across a 20 mm band via the external stop screw.
The 50 mm bore develops 981.3 N forward at 0.5 MPa (1373.8 N at 0.7 MPa). In practice that is about 100 kg of vertical lift at full rating, or a comfortable 50 kg with a 2:1 margin - well matched to ejecting or raising small housings. A magnet ships inside as standard for CMSG / DMSG / EMSG switches.

Size from both sides: the MACJ40 pushes 628.3 N at 0.5 MPa while the MACJ63 gives 1557.9 N, so pick the 50 mm (981.3 N) when a mid-range force on a 16 mm hard-chrome rod is the fit. Remember the stop screw sets extend position but is not a mid-stroke lock - on air loss the piston still drifts.
