About the Airtac MACJ Stainless Steel Mini Adjustable Cylinder MACJ63X50-10S
With 1558 N of push at 0.5 MPa, this 63 mm bore MACJ is the strongest mini cylinder AirTAC builds in the MA family. It is double-acting, carries an adjustable extend stroke trimmed by a 10 mm stop window, and both ends run a variable air cushion. At 0.7 MPa the same bore reaches 2181 N, so short pressing and clamping jobs stay well within reach.
The body is a riveted stainless-steel round barrel with a 20 um hard-chrome plated rod, an assembly that shrugs off washdown and damp shop air far better than painted minis. The magnet is standard, so CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switches bolt on without a special piston. Working the numbers, the rod lifts about 159 kg vertically at 0.5 MPa; halve that for a 2:1 margin and you still raise a 79 kg load.

Drop to the 50 mm bore (981.3 N push / 880.8 N pull at 0.5 MPa) when the load is lighter and you want a slimmer body; there is no MA bore above 63 mm, so this is the top of the force range. The 10 mm adjuster is a mechanical end stop that shortens the extend stroke only - on air loss the piston drifts, so do not treat it as a load-holding brake.
Mount it FA flange or LB foot, add I or Y knuckles on the rod, and note the adjustable version has no SDB or back-cover code. A 1/4 inch port feeds the 30-800 mm/s speed band.
