Double-acting with a variable air cushion at each end, it rides on a riveted stainless-steel barrel, a hard-chrome plated carbon-steel rod and aluminium-alloy covers, so damp shops and outdoor cells do not eat it the way they eat painted minis. The extend stroke can be shortened on site by up to 50 mm with the external adjuster.
