About the Airtac MGD Double Rod Mini Cylinder MGD25X175S
The AirTAC MGD25X175S is a JIS-standard round-body mini cylinder, double acting, with a through rod that exits both the front and back covers on M10x1.25 male threads. Because the 10 mm rod occupies the piston area on both sides, the output force is identical in each direction: about 206.1 N at 0.5 MPa and 288.5 N at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical maximum of 42 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The back rod end can carry a stop or switch flag, drive a second load, or simply resist rotation and side load on the workpiece.
Built for damp and washdown-adjacent lines, the barrel is SUS304 stainless with hard-chrome plated rods, riveted covers and a two-way lubricant-storing piston seal. A fixed anti-impact bumper pad decelerates each stroke end, and the fitted magnet (the S in the code) accepts CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switches for end-position sensing.
