About the Airtac MTG Stainless Steel Mini Cylinder MTG20X25S
The MTG20X25S is a single acting, pull-type JIS round-body mini cylinder with a 20 mm bore and 25 mm stroke. In this configuration the internal spring extends the rod to its rest position, and compressed air retracts (pulls) the rod on the work stroke, so only one air line is needed. Net pull output, already after the spring, is 84.8 N at 0.5 MPa and 137.5 N at 0.7 MPa, with a minimum working pressure of 0.2 MPa (28 psi) and a speed range of 50 to 800 mm/s. Because the S code is fitted, CMSG, DMSG or EMSG magnetic switches can be mounted directly on the SUS304 stainless barrel.
Construction follows the JIS mini-cylinder footprint with a riveted round body, a stainless barrel and a hard-chrome plated (20 um) carbon-steel rod, which suits damp and light washdown environments. A fixed anti-impact bumper pad softens the stroke ends, and the two-way lubricant-storing piston seal extends service life. The 8 mm rod carries a male M8x1.25 thread and the port is 1/8" on every MTG bore.
