Airtac TN Double Axis Double Rod Cylinder TN10X15-S

The AirTAC Airtac TN Double Axis Double Rod Cylinder TN10X15-S is a genuine TN twin-rod (double-rod) double-acting cylinder, 10 mm bore. Two parallel rods on one plate resist bending and twisting and let the load mount without rotating. It delivers about 78.6 N of push at 0.5 MPa. A front bumper cushions the impact and adjusts the stroke over a -5 to 0 mm range.

About the Airtac TN Double Axis Double Rod Cylinder TN10X15-S

The TN10X15S is a double-acting twin-rod cylinder: two rods run in parallel on one shared plate, so the mounted load cannot rotate and the assembly stands up to bending and twisting forces. With a 10 mm bore you get a theoretical push thrust of 78.5 N at 0.5 MPa across the twin-rod assembly (pull side lower), and the 15 mm stroke covers short, repeatable moves. The front bumper cushions impact and adjusts the stroke over -5 to 0 mm.

This is a genuine AirTAC TN-series cylinder to the enterprise standard, with PT thread ports, and the magnet is fitted as standard with switch slots around the body. It runs on air filtered to 40 um at 0.2-1.0 MPa (29-145 psi), -20 to 70 C, 30-500 mm/s. We confirm exact dimensions and sizing from the datasheet on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC TN/TR twin-rod data. Operating pressure is set by bore (0.2 MPa minimum on the 6 and 10 mm bores). The front cover and piston are short, so avoid an over-long stroke. Overall dimensions vary per stroke and allowable side-load is published as curves — ask us and we confirm from the datasheet.

How to choose

Bore 10 gives 78.5 N push at 0.5 MPa on the twin-rod assembly - move to bore 16, 20, 25 or 32 for more thrust. The TN series is the enterprise standard and comes with PT thread only; if your plumbing needs G or NPT, or you want the higher-precision guide grade, choose the TR series. Pick a stroke from this bore's table and avoid over-long strokes beyond what the short front cover is meant to handle - confirm side-load cases with us before you commit.

Applications

settings

Ejector on a small assembly station

The non-rotating twin-rod plate ejects finished parts squarely from a nest, cycle after cycle, at 30-500 mm/s.

compress

Light press or staking action

Twin rods share the load and resist twist, keeping the tool face flat during short 15 mm press moves on light-duty work.

swap_horiz

Lateral transfer between tracks

The shared plate slides parts sideways between conveyor lanes without rotation, and the bumper tunes the end-of-travel position by up to 5 mm.

FAQ

How do I choose between TN and TR at the same bore and stroke?

TN is the enterprise-standard twin-rod series and is offered with PT thread only. TR is the JIS-standard grade with higher non-rotating precision, lower rod-end deflection, a lengthening sliding-support guide that needs no added lubricant, and two groups of ports (one each side) in PT, G or NPT. Pick TR when guide precision or port options matter; TN otherwise.

Can I put a side load on the twin-rod plate?

The twin-rod design resists bending and twisting and lets you mount the load directly without rotation, but allowable side-load values are published only as curves. Send us your application and we will confirm suitability from the datasheet before you order.
