About the Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP20X45SB
The ACP20X45SB is a double acting DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 20 mm bore and 45 mm stroke, driven by air in both directions and stopped by a fixed TPU bumper at each end. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 157.1 N and pulls 117.8 N; at 0.7 MPa those figures rise to 219.9 N and 164.9 N, with a theoretical maximum of 32 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The male rod thread (B code) and PT port thread are set by the ordering code.
The hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight clamping fixtures and small gantries. Because the S code is fitted, CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be mounted directly on the tube. For real-world sizing, plan on about 94 N (roughly 9.6 kg of force) of usable work at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 8 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note this model is discontinued; the current-production drop-in is the ISO 21287 ACE20X45 in the same bore, stroke and force class.
