About the Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP20X60B
The ACP20X60B is a double acting DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 20 mm bore and 60 mm stroke, ending in a male rod thread (B code) on a 10 mm rod. Its hard-anodized aluminium body is about 50% shorter than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body will not fit. Air supply runs 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) with a 1.5 MPa (215 psi) proof pressure, and speed spans 30-500 mm/s.
At 0.5 MPa this bore pushes 157.1 N and pulls 117.8 N; at 0.7 MPa those rise to 219.9 N and 164.9 N, with a theoretical 32 kgf at 1.0 MPa. In practice, plan on roughly 94 N of usable work at 0.5 MPa, which corresponds to lifting about 9 kg vertically - halve that to 4-5 kg if you want a 2:1 margin on a real part. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends. Note this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ISO 21287 ACE20X60, so confirm mounting dimensions before swapping.
