This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACE25X100B — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ACE25X100B in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP25X100B is a double acting DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø25mm bore and 100mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACE25X100B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACP25X100B is a double acting DIN-standard compact cylinder: 25 mm bore, 100 mm stroke, male rod thread (B code) and a fixed TPU bumper at each end. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 245.4 N and pulls 206.2 N; at 0.7 MPa that rises to 343.6 N push and 288.6 N pull, with a theoretical maximum of 50.1 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it fits tight jigs and guards.
Plan on roughly 147 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa (about 60% of the rating), which corresponds to lifting about 15 kg vertically, or about 7 kg with a 2:1 margin. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries an S45C hard-chrome rod, ports are M5x0.8, and speed runs 30-500 mm/s. This model is discontinued; the current drop-in is ACE25X100, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ACE25X100B (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.
| Pressure | Push force | Pull force |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 245 N | 206 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 344 N | 289 N |
| Max (@1.0 MPa) | 50 kgf | |
The ACE25X100B produces the same force from the same bore. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical; size with a margin.
| ACP | DIN compact cylinder (double-acting, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 25 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×100 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
245.4 N push at 0.5 MPa clamps aluminium housings in drilling jigs; the short body fits inside the fixture frame where a full-length cylinder will not.
The 100 mm stroke ejects pressed terminals or connector shells from nests, lifting parts of about 7 kg with a 2:1 vertical margin.
Mounted with an LB foot or CA clevis, it nudges cartons off a conveyor at 30-500 mm/s; the fixed TPU bumper softens end-of-stroke contact.
Size both ways: if 245.4 N at 0.5 MPa is more than you need, the 20 mm bore gives 157.1 N; if you need more, the 32 mm bore delivers 402.1 N. The 100 mm stroke sits well inside the 150 mm standard maximum for bore 25, so it is a catalogue item. This unit has a male rod thread and no magnet, so CMSE or DMSE switches cannot be used; order the -S version if position sensing is planned. Note that a plain cylinder drifts when air is lost, so add a rod lock or pilot check valve for held loads. Replace with ACE25X100 and verify the ISO 21287 mounting footprint.
Replacement checklist
Push 245.4 N and pull 206.2 N at 0.5 MPa; push 343.6 N and pull 288.6 N at 0.7 MPa; theoretical maximum 50.1 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Operating pressure is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), proof 1.5 MPa (215 psi), speed 30-500 mm/s, temperature -20 to +70 C, port M5x0.8, rod 10 mm with male thread.
No - ACP25X100B is discontinued. The current-production replacement is ACE25X100, the ISO 21287 successor in the same bore, stroke and force class. Because the ACP is DIN-standard, confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
