This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACE25X110B — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ACE25X110B in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP25X110B is a double acting DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø25mm bore and 110mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACE25X110B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACP25X110B is a double acting DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 25 mm bore and 110 mm stroke, driving a 10 mm hard-chrome S45C rod from a hard-anodized aluminium body. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 245.4 N and pulls 206.2 N; at 0.7 MPa those figures rise to 343.6 N and 288.6 N, with a theoretical ceiling of 50.1 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The B code gives a male rod thread, and air ports are M5x0.8. Its short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly half the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into cramped fixtures and guarding where a full-length body will not fit.
Practically, plan on about 147 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa rather than the full rating, which corresponds to lifting roughly 12 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. The fixed TPU bumper at each end only softens end-of-stroke contact; it never holds a load, so add a rod lock or pilot check valve if the rod must stay put when air drops. The magnet is not fitted on this code - order the -S variant if you need CMSE or DMSE switch sensing. Note that ACP is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is ACE25X110, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ACE25X110B (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.
| Pressure | Push force | Pull force |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 245 N | 206 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 344 N | 289 N |
| Max (@1.0 MPa) | 50 kgf | |
The ACE25X110B produces the same force from the same bore. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical; size with a margin.
| ACP | DIN compact cylinder (double-acting, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 25 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×110 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
With about 147 N of practical push at 0.5 MPa, the 25 mm bore clamps small aluminium or plastic workpieces in machining fixtures, and the short body fits inside the pallet envelope.
The 110 mm stroke sweeps off-spec cartons or blisters off a conveyor lane, with the male rod thread taking a custom pusher plate directly.
Lifts roughly 12 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin, enough for reagent trays or sample racks in compact analytical instruments where mounting length is scarce.
At 25 mm bore this model sits mid-range: a 20 mm bore delivers 157.1 N push at 0.5 MPa, while a 32 mm bore reaches 402.1 N, so step up if your mechanism needs more than about 147 N of working force. The 110 mm stroke is within the 150 mm standard range for this bore. Choose the male-threaded B rod end for knuckle or tooling attachments, and pick FA/FB flange, LB foot or CA/CB clevis mounting to suit the fixture. If position feedback matters, order the -S code for the optional magnet and CMSE/DMSE switches. For new projects, specify the ACE25X110 instead - this ACP version is discontinued.
Replacement checklist
At 0.5 MPa it pushes 245.4 N and pulls 206.2 N. At 0.7 MPa the push is 343.6 N and the pull 288.6 N. The theoretical maximum is 50.1 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Operating range is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) with a 1.5 MPa (215 psi) proof pressure, speed 30-500 mm/s, and air filtered to 40 um.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, with FA/FB flange, LB foot and CA/CB clevis options. Sensing requires the optional -S magnet code - this standard B-code unit has no magnet, so CMSE or DMSE switches cannot be fitted unless you order -S. The model is discontinued; the ACE25X110 is the current replacement, so verify ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before converting.
