This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACE25X75B — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ACE25X75B in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP25X75B is a double acting DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø25mm bore and 75mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACE25X75B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACP25X75B is a double acting compact cylinder built to the DIN-standard short-body format, with a 25 mm bore and a 75 mm stroke. Air drives the piston both ways, and a fixed TPU bumper sits at each end of travel. The hard-anodized aluminium body keeps the mounting length roughly 50% shorter than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder of the same bore, so it slots into tight jigs and gantry frames. The B code gives a male rod thread on the 10 mm rod, and the port is M5x0.8.
At 0.5 MPa this bore pushes 245.4 N and pulls 206.2 N; at 0.7 MPa push rises to 343.6 N, with a theoretical maximum of 50.1 kgf at 1.0 MPa. In practice, budget about 147 N (roughly 15 kg of push) for real work at 0.5 MPa, and expect it to lift about 12 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ISO 21287 ACE25X75, so confirm mounting dimensions before swapping. The optional -S magnet enables CMSE / DMSE switches; this unit, ordered without -S, carries no magnet.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ACE25X75B (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.
| Pressure | Push force | Pull force |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 245 N | 206 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 344 N | 289 N |
| Max (@1.0 MPa) | 50 kgf | |
The ACE25X75B produces the same force from the same bore. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical; size with a margin.
| ACP | DIN compact cylinder (double-acting, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 25 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×75 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 245.4 N push at 0.5 MPa clamps aluminium brackets in machining fixtures, and the short body fits between pallet rails where a full-length cylinder cannot.
With about 15 kg of practical push at 0.5 MPa, the 75 mm stroke kicks cartons off a conveyor at cycle speeds up to 500 mm/s.
The 343.6 N push at 0.7 MPa seats dowels and bushings into plastic housings on an electronics assembly bench.
Size both ways: if 245.4 N of push at 0.5 MPa is more than your jig needs, the ACP20X75B delivers 157.1 N in the same stroke; if you need more, step up to the ACP32X75B for 402.1 N. Keep in mind the piston drifts when air is lost, so add a rod lock or pilot check valve for a held load. Mount via FA/FB flange, LB foot or CA/CB clevis on the ISO 21287 face. Since ACP is discontinued, order the ACE25X75 as the current replacement and verify dimensions.
Replacement checklist
At 0.5 MPa it pushes 245.4 N and pulls 206.2 N. At 0.7 MPa push is 343.6 N and pull 288.6 N. The theoretical maximum is 50.1 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Operating range is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), proof pressure 1.5 MPa (215 psi), speed 30-500 mm/s, temperature -20 to +70 C, air filtered to 40 um.
The hard-anodized aluminium body follows the short ISO 21287 format, saving about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder. The B code gives a male thread on the 10 mm rod for direct knuckle or fixture attachment, and the M5x0.8 port keeps plumbing small. This model is discontinued; the ACE25X75 is the current drop-in, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions. Add the -S code if you need CMSE / DMSE switch sensing.
