This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACE25X90B — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ACE25X90B in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP25X90B is a double acting DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø25mm bore and 90mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACE25X90B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACP25X90B is a double acting DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 25 mm bore and 90 mm stroke, male rod thread (B code) and PT ports. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 245.4 N and pulls 206.2 N; at 0.7 MPa that rises to 343.6 N push and 288.6 N pull, with a theoretical maximum of 50.1 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Its hard-anodized aluminium body and S45C hard-chrome rod run on 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) filtered air at 30-500 mm/s.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and guarding. Practical sizing: plan on roughly 147 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 12 kg vertically - halve that to about 6 kg for a 2:1 margin on real part weights. This model is discontinued; the current-production drop-in is ACE25X90, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ACE25X90B (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.
| Pressure | Push force | Pull force |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 245 N | 206 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 344 N | 289 N |
| Max (@1.0 MPa) | 50 kgf | |
The ACE25X90B produces the same force from the same bore. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical; size with a margin.
| ACP | DIN compact cylinder (double-acting, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 25 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×90 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
With 245.4 N push at 0.5 MPa, the 25 mm bore holds small aluminium brackets against a drill jig on a manual bench line.
The 90 mm stroke kicks cartons or blister trays off a narrow conveyor lane where a full-length profile cylinder will not fit.
Male rod thread drives an eject pin in a plastic-injection trim fixture, retracting under air with no spring return needed.
At 25 mm bore you sit mid-range: a 20 mm bore gives 157.1 N push at 0.5 MPa for lighter clamping, while a 32 mm bore delivers 402.1 N when the load grows. The 90 mm stroke is well inside the 150 mm standard for this bore. The male rod thread suits I/Y knuckles and rod-coupled tooling; FA/FB flanges, LB feet and CA/CB clevis mounts bolt to the same face. If you need position feedback, order the -S code for the optional magnet and CMSE / DMSE switches - without -S there is no magnet. Replacement: ACE25X90.
Replacement checklist
At 0.5 MPa: 245.4 N push and 206.2 N pull. At 0.7 MPa: 343.6 N push and 288.6 N pull. Theoretical maximum is 50.1 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Operating range is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), proof 1.5 MPa (215 psi), speed 30-500 mm/s, air filtered to 40 um.
No - the ACP25X90B is discontinued. The current-production successor is ACE25X90 (swap the P for an E), which matches the same 25 mm bore, 90 mm stroke and force class in the ISO 21287 family. Confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP was built to the DIN standard. Also note the plain cylinder drifts when air is lost - add a rod lock or pilot check valve if you must hold a load.
