About the Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP25X90S
The ACP25X90S is a double acting DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 25 mm bore and 90 mm stroke, fitted with the optional -S magnet so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be mounted directly on the hard-anodized aluminium body. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 245.4 N and pulls 206.2 N, rising to 343.6 N push at 0.7 MPa. Its short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight jigs and guarded stations.
Practical sizing: keep real work near 147 N (about 0.6 of the push rating), and expect roughly 12 kg of vertical lift with a 2:1 margin - enough for small aluminium brackets or plastic trays. The rod ends in a female M6x1.0 thread, the air port is M5x0.8, and a fixed TPU bumper at each end simply decelerates the piston. Note that this model is discontinued; the current-production drop-in is ACE25X90, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

For a 90 mm stroke at this force level, bore 25 delivers 245.4 N push at 0.5 MPa. Step down to bore 20 (157.1 N) for lighter clamping, or up to bore 32 (402.1 N) when the load grows. Remember the piston drifts when air is lost - add a rod lock or pilot check valve if the load must stay put. FA/FB flange, LB foot and CA/CB clevis mounts bolt to the same face, and the -S magnet on this unit works with CMSE / DMSE switches. Order ACE25X90 as the current replacement.
