About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD100X10B
A double acting compact cylinder with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD100X10B pushes and pulls with identical force because each stroke works on the rod-side area: 3681.6 N at 0.5 MPa and 5154.2 N at 0.7 MPa, equal in both directions. The 100 mm bore drives a 25 mm hard-chrome S45C rod, and the male rod thread (B code) suits external rod couplings and knuckles. The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into heavy presses and gantries where a full-length body will not fit.
The through-rod resists rotation and side load and gives a symmetric fixture mount, while the rear rod can carry a sensor flag on a mirrored bracket. Fixed TPU bumpers pad both ends of travel, and speed spans 30-500 mm/s on air filtered to 40 um at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi). Plan on about 2209 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa - roughly 188 kg lifted vertically with a 2:1 margin - rather than the full rating. Note this model is discontinued; the current-production drop-in is the ACED100X10, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
