About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD40X90SB
A double acting compact cylinder with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD40X90SB delivers 571.8 N in each direction at 0.5 MPa because both strokes work on the rod-side area. The 90 mm stroke sits well inside the 200 mm standard range for the 40 mm bore, and the male rod thread (B code) bolts straight to I/Y knuckles. This unit carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE or DMSE switches can be clipped on for position feedback.
The hard-anodized aluminium body follows the ISO 21287 short format, cutting roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder - handy for gantries and guarding with tight depth. A fixed TPU bumper sits at each end, and the through-rod resists rotation and side load while the rear rod can carry a sensor flag. Expect about 343 N of real working force at 0.5 MPa if you plan with a margin, which lifts roughly 29 kg vertically at a 2:1 ratio. Note: the ACPD line is discontinued; the current-production drop-in is ACED40X90 - confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
