About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD80X35B
This is a double acting, double-rod compact cylinder in the AirTAC ACP DIN-standard series, now discontinued. A 20 mm rod exits both covers of the hard-anodized aluminium body, so the 80 mm bore delivers an equal 2356.2 N in each direction at 0.5 MPa and 3298.7 N at 0.7 MPa, with a fixed TPU bumper at each end and a male rod thread (B code) on both rod ends. The through-rod resists rotation and side load, gives a symmetric mount, and the rear rod can carry a sensor flag. Speed range is 30-500 mm/s over 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi).
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it suits tight presses and gantries. For sizing, treat roughly 1414 N (about 60% of the 0.5 MPa rating) as the usable working force; that corresponds to lifting about 120 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note this model ships without a magnet - the optional -S code is required for CMSE / DMSE switches. As the ACPD is no longer produced, order the current ACED80X35 and confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
