About the Airtac ATP Single Acting Port Compact Cylinder ATP32X5S
A single acting pull cylinder with spring extend, the ATP32X5S keeps its rod normally extended and uses air to retract it. At 0.5 MPa it pulls 296 N (434.2 N at 0.7 MPa), both figures already net of the return spring, and it needs at least 0.2 MPa to move against the spring. This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be mounted for end-of-stroke detection. Note that the ATP family is discontinued; the current drop-in is ATE32X5 in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The short ISO 21287-style body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight jigs, guarding and gantry arms. A hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod and fixed TPU bumpers at both ends keeps it serviceable at 50-500 mm/s.
