About the Airtac MSG Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MSG32X125S
The AirTAC MSG32X125S is a single acting, push-type JIS round-body mini cylinder with a 32 mm bore and 125 mm stroke: compressed air extends the rod, and an internal return spring retracts it when air is released. Because air is only used on the work stroke, one air line and one valve port are enough, which saves air and simplifies the circuit for one-way clamping, ejecting or pressing. The 281.3 N push at 0.5 MPa is already net of the spring, so a realistic working load is about 168 N, roughly 17 kg, with a safe vertical lift figure near 14 kg. Operating pressure is 0.2 to 1.0 MPa (28 to 145 psi) and speed runs 50 to 800 mm/s.
Construction is a riveted round body in SUS304 stainless with a hard-chrome 20 um plated carbon-steel rod, so the cylinder resists damp and washdown environments, and the JIS footprint drops into standard JIS mini brackets and I/Y knuckles. Choose the MSG32X125S when your one-way work stroke needs about 281 N (28.7 kgf) of push at 0.5 MPa and 125 mm of travel, with the spring handling the return. Bore 32 sits in the middle of the MSG range: bore 20 gives about 110 N and bore 25 about 172 N at 0.5 MPa for lighter clamps, while bore 40 reaches about 440 N for heavier presses. Note the spring sets a 0.2 MPa (28 psi) minimum working pressure, and spring-return travel caps the standard stroke at 150 mm for this bore; if you need a longer stroke or powered movement in both directions, step up to the double-acting MG.
