About the Airtac MSG Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MSG32X50
The AirTAC MSG32X50 is a single acting, PUSH type JIS mini cylinder with a 32 mm bore and 50 mm stroke: compressed air extends the piston rod and an internal return spring retracts it when air is released. Because air is only applied on the work stroke, the circuit needs one air line and one valve port, which saves air and wiring for one-directional tasks such as clamping, ejecting or pressing. The output figures are already NET of the return spring: about 281.3 N push at 0.5 MPa and 442.1 N at 0.7 MPa, with a minimum working pressure of 0.2 MPa (28-145 psi operating range) set by the spring itself. A practical rule of thumb is to load this cylinder to roughly 0.6 of its push force, so about 168 N, or a vertical lift of around 17 kg at 0.5 MPa.
Construction follows the JIS mini-cylinder footprint, so it drops into standard JIS brackets and I/Y rod knuckles.
