About the Airtac MSG Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MSG32X25
The AirTAC MSG32X25 is a single acting, push type JIS mini cylinder with a 32 mm bore and 25 mm stroke: compressed air extends the rod and an internal return spring retracts it when air is released. Because air is only supplied on the work stroke, the circuit needs just one air line and one valve port, which saves air and simplifies wiring for one-directional clamping, ejecting or pressing. At 0.5 MPa the rod delivers about 281.3 N of push, already net of the return spring, and the spring sets a 0.2 MPa (28 psi) minimum working pressure. The short 25 mm stroke makes it a compact fit where a quick one-way action is all that is needed.
Construction is a JIS-standard round body with a riveted SUS304 stainless barrel and a hard-chrome plated carbon steel rod, so it stands up to damp and washdown environments. The two-way lubricant-storing piston seal extends service life, and a fixed anti-impact bumper pad softens the stroke end. A practical sizing note: with 281.3 N of push at 0.5 MPa, a safe vertical lift load is roughly 14 kg (about half the push expressed in kgf), so plan your payload well inside that figure. Choose the MSG32X25 when your one-way work stroke is short (25 mm) and the 281.3 N push at 0.5 MPa covers the load with margin; step up to bore 40 (439.6 N at 0.5 MPa) for heavier clamps or down to bore 25 (171.8 N) for lighter duty. Remember the spring return: the rod retracts on air loss, and the minimum working pressure is 0.2 MPa (28 psi), not lower. The spring-return travel caps standard strokes at 150 mm for this bore; if you need a two-directional or longer stroke, use the double-acting MG instead.
