About the Airtac MSG Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MSG32X150
The AirTAC MSG32X150 is a single acting, push type JIS round-body mini cylinder: compressed air extends the 12 mm rod through a 150 mm stroke, and an internal return spring retracts it the moment air is released. Because air is only supplied on the work stroke, the circuit needs just one air line and one valve port, which saves air and simplifies plumbing for one-way clamping, ejecting and pressing tasks. The 32 mm bore delivers about 281.3 N push at 0.5 MPa and 442.1 N at 0.7 MPa, both already net of the return spring, so the figures you read are the figures the rod actually applies.
Construction suits damp and washdown environments: a SUS304 stainless barrel with a hard-chrome plated carbon-steel rod, riveted covers, a two-way lubricant-storing piston seal and a fixed anti-impact bumper pad that softens the stroke ends. The spring return caps the standard stroke at 150 mm for this bore, and the spring also sets a 0.2 MPa minimum working pressure. As a rule of thumb, size the working load at about 0.6 of the push force, roughly 169 N at 0.5 MPa, which corresponds to a safe vertical lift of around 14 kg. Spring-return clamping
Air extends the rod to clamp a jig or workpiece; on valve exhaust the return spring retracts the rod automatically, so one 3-way valve and one air line complete the circuit.
Part ejection
With about 281.3 N push at 0.5 MPa, the 32 mm bore ejects stamped or molded parts off a fixture at the end of a cycle, with the spring pulling the platen back for the next load.
Lid press and gate lift

Is the Airtac MSG Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MSG32X150 the Right Cylinder?
Choose the MSG32X150 when a one-way push of about 281.3 N at 0.5 MPa over a 150 mm stroke is enough and a spring return is acceptable. It is the largest standard MSG bore class below the 40 mm version, which reaches 439.6 N at 0.5 MPa; the 25 mm bore manages only 171.8 N. Note the spring-return design sets a 0.2 MPa (28 psi) minimum working pressure and limits the standard stroke to 150 mm, so for a two-directional or longer stroke select the double-acting MG instead. Mounting options are LB foot, FA flange, CB clevis and SDB pivot, with I and Y rod knuckles; add the S code if you want CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switch sensing. This no-S model carries no magnet, so no sensor can be mounted. Port is 1/8" on every MSG bore; thread options are PT (blank), G or NPT.
