About the Airtac MSG Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MSG32X75
The AirTAC MSG32X75 is a single acting, PUSH type JIS mini cylinder with a 32 mm bore and 75 mm stroke: compressed air extends the rod and an internal return spring retracts it when air is released. Because air is only applied on the work stroke, one air line and one valve port are enough, which saves air and simplifies the circuit for one-way clamping, ejecting or pressing. Output is already net of the return spring: about 281.3 N push at 0.5 MPa and 442.1 N at 0.7 MPa. Using the usual rule of thumb of about 0.6 of the push force, that is a safe working load of roughly 17 kgf for clamping, or about 14 kg for vertical lifting.
The barrel is SUS304 stainless and the 12 mm rod is hard-chrome plated carbon steel, so the cylinder resists damp and washdown environments, and the JIS standard round-body footprint drops straight into standard JIS mini brackets and I or Y rod knuckles. A fixed anti-impact bumper pad softens the stroke ends, and the spring return means the rod always goes back to its retracted rest position on air loss. Note that the return spring caps the standard stroke at 150 mm for this bore and sets a 0.2 MPa (28 psi) minimum working pressure; for a two-directional or longer stroke, choose the double-acting MG instead.
