About the Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP40X60
The ACP40X60 is a double acting compact cylinder with a 40 mm bore and 60 mm stroke, built on the DIN-standard short-body format with a hard-anodized aluminium body and an S45C hard-chrome piston rod. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 628.3 N and pulls 571.8 N, rising to 879.6 N on the extend stroke at 0.7 MPa. Air supply runs 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) with rod speed between 30 and 500 mm/s.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight fixtures and guarding. In practice, plan on about 377 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which lifts roughly 32 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends. This model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is ACE40X60, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Step down to the 32 mm bore (402.1 N) for lighter clamping, or up to the 50 mm bore (981.7 N) if the load grows. A plain ACP40X60 drifts when air is lost, so add a rod lock or pilot check valve for held loads. This unit has the female M8x1.25 rod thread and PT ports; order the -S code if you need the optional magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches. Replacement is ACE40X60.
