About the Airtac ASP Single Acting Guided Compact Cylinder ASP32X15
A single acting push cylinder with spring return, the ASP32X15 extends its 12 mm rod with air and retracts it by spring, needing only one air line and a minimum of 0.2 MPa to beat the spring. At 0.5 MPa it delivers 352.5 N of push net of the return spring (513.4 N at 0.7 MPa), and its short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and guarding. Note: this model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is ASE32X15.
Practically, plan on roughly 211 N (about 21 kg) of usable push at 0.5 MPa rather than the full rating, and expect it to lift about 18 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries a fixed TPU bumper at both ends, the S45C rod is hard-chrome plated with an M8x1.25 female thread, and the 1/8" port runs 0.2-1.0 MPa (28-145 psi) at 50-500 mm/s. No magnet is fitted on this code; the optional -S magnet enables CMSE / DMSE switches.
