The AirTAC MSG40X25 is a single acting, push type JIS round-body mini cylinder with a 40 mm bore and 25 mm stroke: compressed air extends the rod and an internal return spring retracts it when air is released. Because air is applied only on the work stroke, the circuit needs one air line and one valve port, which saves air and wiring on one-directional jobs like clamping, ejecting or pressing. The 40 mm bore is the largest in the MSG family, delivering about 439.6 N push at 0.5 MPa and 690.8 N at 0.7 MPa, figures already net of the return spring. Minimum working pressure is 0.2 MPa (28 psi), set by the spring preload.
Construction follows the JIS mini cylinder footprint, so it drops into standard JIS brackets and I/Y rod knuckles. The barrel is SUS304 stainless and the 16 mm rod is hard-chrome plated carbon steel (20 um chrome), a combination that resists damp and washdown environments. Spring-return clamp
