About the Airtac MSG Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MSG40X75
The AirTAC MSG40X75 is a single acting, push type JIS round-body mini cylinder: compressed air extends the 16 mm rod through a 75 mm stroke, and an internal return spring retracts it when air is released. With the largest bore in the MSG family (40 mm), it delivers about 439.6 N push at 0.5 MPa and 690.8 N at 0.7 MPa, figures already net of the return spring. Because air is only supplied on the work stroke, one air line and one valve port are all the circuit needs, which saves air and simplifies plumbing for one-way clamp, eject, lift and press duty.
Construction is built for the shop floor: a SUS304 stainless barrel with a hard-chrome (20 um) carbon-steel rod resists damp and washdown conditions, riveted covers keep the round body compact, and a fixed anti-impact bumper pad softens the stroke ends. The JIS-standard footprint drops straight into standard JIS mini brackets and I/Y rod knuckles. Spring-return clamping

Choose the MSG40X75 when your one-way work stroke needs the strongest push in the MSG range: 439.6 N at 0.5 MPa (690.8 N at 0.7 MPa), net of the return spring. Keep the realistic working load near 0.6 of that, about 26 kg for vertical lifting. Remember the spring-return design sets a 0.2 MPa (28 psi) minimum working pressure, and on air loss the spring simply returns the rod to its retracted rest position, so it does not hold a load in place. The spring travel also caps standard strokes at 150 mm; if you need a two-directional stroke, longer travel, or adjustable cushioning, step up to the double-acting MG or MGC instead. Mount with LB foot, FA flange, CB clevis or SDB pivot brackets, plus I or Y rod knuckles. Add the -S magnet option if you want CMSG/DMSG/EMSG switch position sensing; this standard version has no magnet and accepts no sensor.
