This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACE32X300SB — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ACE32X300SB in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP32X300SB is a double acting DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø32mm bore and 300mm stroke, 1/8" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACE32X300SB (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACP32X300SB is a double acting compact cylinder in the DIN-standard ACP series, built on a hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome piston rod. Its 32 mm bore delivers 402.1 N push and 345.6 N pull at 0.5 MPa, rising to 563 N at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical peak of 82 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so a 300 mm stroke still fits where a full-length body would not. This -S coded unit carries the optional magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clipped on for end-of-stroke sensing, and the B code gives a male rod thread instead of the female version.
Note that 300 mm exceeds the 200 mm maximum standard stroke for a 32 mm bore, so this unit is made to order. In practice, plan for about 241 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa (roughly 24 kgf of real work once a 0.6 service factor is applied), which lifts about 20 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. The fixed TPU bumper at each end only softens deceleration; it never holds the piston, so a rod lock or pilot check valve is needed if the load must stay put when air is lost. The ACP family is discontinued, and the current-production drop-in is the ACE32X300 - confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ACE32X300SB (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.
| Pressure | Push force | Pull force |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 402 N | 346 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 563 N | 484 N |
| Max (@1.0 MPa) | 82 kgf | |
The ACE32X300SB produces the same force from the same bore. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical; size with a margin.
| ACP | DIN compact cylinder (double-acting, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 32 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×300 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 402.1 N push at 0.5 MPa clamps aluminium housings on a CNC fixture where the 300 mm stroke reaches over guarding, and the short body keeps the fixture footprint tight.
A 32 mm bore with 345.6 N pull retracts fast enough at 30-500 mm/s to clear a diverted bottle before the next one arrives, and CMSE switches on this -S model confirm each reject stroke.
The male rod thread and clevis mounting drive a sliding safety gate across a pallet infeed, with the 300 mm made-to-order stroke covering the full gate travel.
Size against neighbours: a 25 mm bore gives 245.4 N push at 0.5 MPa, while a 40 mm bore reaches 628.3 N - pick the 32 mm when your jig needs that middle band of force over a long 300 mm travel. Because the stroke is beyond the 200 mm standard limit for this bore, order it as a made-to-order item and allow lead time. Match the mounting to your fixture: FA/FB flange, LB foot, CA/CB clevis, CR, SDB pivot or FTC brackets all bolt to the same face, and I/Y rod knuckles suit the male thread of this B-coded model. If you need position feedback, this -S version already carries the magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches. For new builds, specify the ACE32X300 instead, since ACP is discontinued and the ACE is the current ISO 21287 successor in the same bore, stroke and force class.
Replacement checklist
At 0.5 MPa it pushes 402.1 N and pulls 345.6 N; at 0.7 MPa those rise to 563 N and 483.8 N, with a theoretical maximum of 82 kgf at 1.0 MPa. It is a double acting 32 mm bore with a 300 mm made-to-order stroke (standard max for this bore is 200 mm), a 12 mm rod with male thread, a 1/8" PT port, operating pressure 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), proof pressure 1.5 MPa (215 psi), speed 30-500 mm/s and a temperature range of -20 to +70 C on filtered air (40 um).
Order the ACE32X300, the current-production ISO 21287 successor: swap the P for an E and you get the same bore, stroke and force class in a matching short body. Because the ACP was built to a DIN standard rather than ISO 21287, check the mounting dimensions against the ACE drawing before you swap. The ACE keeps the same FA/FB flange, LB foot, CA/CB clevis, CR, SDB and FTC mounting family, and the -S magnet option for CMSE / DMSE switches carries over.
