About the Airtac MSG Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MSG20X25
The AirTAC MSG20X25 is a single acting, PUSH type JIS round-body mini cylinder: compressed air extends the 8 mm rod over a 25 mm stroke, and an internal return spring retracts it when air is released. Because air is applied only on the work stroke, the circuit needs just one air line and one valve port, which saves air and wiring on one-way tasks. The bore 20 output is already net of the spring: about 109.9 N push at 0.5 MPa and 172.7 N at 0.7 MPa, with a 0.2 MPa (28 psi) minimum working pressure set by the spring.
Construction suits damp and washdown corners of a line: a SUS304 stainless barrel, a hard-chrome plated carbon-steel rod (male thread M8x1.25), riveted covers and a fixed anti-impact bumper pad that softens each stroke end. The 1/8" port and JIS standard footprint drop into standard JIS mini brackets and I/Y rod knuckles. A practical rule of thumb is to load the rod to about 60 percent of push force, so plan on roughly 6 kg for a vertical lift.
