About the Airtac MSG Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MSG25X100S
The MSG25X100S is a JIS-standard round-body mini cylinder built for single acting push duty: compressed air extends the 10 mm rod through a 100 mm stroke, and an internal return spring retracts it the moment air is released. Because air is only supplied on the work stroke, the circuit needs just one air line and one valve port, which saves air and simplifies plumbing for one-way clamping, ejecting and pressing. With the S code fitted, a magnet is built into the piston, so CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switches can be mounted to signal rod position. At 0.5 MPa the net push, already after the spring, is about 171.8 N, rising to 269.9 N at 0.7 MPa; a practical working load is roughly 100 N (about 60 percent of the push force), and for a vertical lift that is around 8 kg.
Construction suits damp and washdown environments: a SUS304 stainless barrel, a hard-chrome plated carbon-steel rod (20 um chrome), riveted covers and a two-way lubricant-storing piston seal.
