The MSG25X50 is a single acting, PUSH type JIS mini cylinder: compressed air extends the 10 mm rod through a 50 mm stroke, and an internal return spring retracts it the moment air is released. Because air is only applied on the work stroke, the whole circuit needs one air line and one valve port, which saves air and wiring on one-way clamp, eject and press duties. The 25 mm bore delivers about 171.8 N of push at 0.5 MPa (269.9 N at 0.7 MPa), and these figures are already net of the return spring, so what you see is what the rod actually delivers.
