The MTG25X125S is a JIS-standard round-body mini cylinder built for single acting pull duty: an internal spring holds the rod extended at rest, and compressed air retracts (pulls) it through the 125 mm stroke. Because air is only used on the work stroke, one air line and one valve position are all the circuit needs, which simplifies plumbing on machines where the motion is a draw, retract, close or tension. With 0.5 MPa applied the net pull after the spring is about 132.6 N, rising to about 215 N at 0.7 MPa; the spring sets a minimum working pressure of 0.2 MPa.
