About the Airtac MTG Stainless Steel Mini Cylinder MTG25X25
The AirTAC MTG25X25 is a single acting, spring-return PULL cylinder built to the JIS mini-cylinder footprint: a 25 mm bore and 25 mm stroke in a round SUS304 stainless barrel with a hard-chrome plated rod. Air on the 1/8" port retracts the rod with a net pull of about 133 N at 0.5 MPa and 215 N at 0.7 MPa; when air is removed the internal spring pushes the rod back out to its extended rest position. Because only one air line is needed, plumbing stays simple and the work stroke is always the powered pull.
Practical sizing: at a conservative 0.6 factor the 132.6 N pull at 0.5 MPa gives roughly 80 N of usable working force, about 8 kg of horizontal draw, or roughly 6 kg as a safe vertical load. The fixed anti-impact bumper pad softens the stroke ends but is not a lock or brake, so the cylinder will fail to the extended position on air loss. A magnet is not fitted on this non-S code, so no CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switch can be mounted unless you order the -S option.

Is the Airtac MTG Stainless Steel Mini Cylinder MTG25X25 the Right Cylinder?
Choose the MTG25X25 when your motion is a one-way pull of 25 mm and the load sits near 80 N at 0.5 MPa; step up to MTG32 (about 225 N pull) or MTG40 (about 339 N) for heavier draws, or down to MTG20 (about 85 N) for light retraction. The spring return sets a 0.2 MPa (28 psi) minimum working pressure and caps the standard stroke at 150 mm for this bore; for two-way travel or longer strokes use the double-acting MG instead.
