About the Airtac MTG Stainless Steel Mini Cylinder MTG25X75
The AirTAC MTG25X75 is a single acting, pull-type JIS mini cylinder with a 25 mm bore and 75 mm stroke: an internal spring holds the rod extended at rest, and compressed air retracts (pulls) the rod on the work stroke. Because air is only applied on the pull stroke, one air line and one valve position are all you need, which simplifies plumbing on draw, retract, close and tension motions. Net pull output, already after the spring, is about 132.6 N at 0.5 MPa and 215 N at 0.7 MPa; a realistic working figure is roughly 80 N, which will lift a vertical load of about 6 kg with margin.
The round-body barrel is SUS304 stainless with a hard-chrome plated 10 mm rod (male thread M10x1.25), riveted covers and a fixed anti-impact bumper pad that softens the stroke ends without acting as a lock or brake. Size the MTG25X75 by pull force, not bore alone: at 0.5 MPa it delivers 132.6 N net of the spring, about 215 N at 0.7 MPa. If your load needs more, move up to MTG32 (224.8 N at 0.5 MPa) or MTG40 (339.1 N); if less, MTG20 (84.8 N) is the smallest in the family. Remember the spring extends the rod and air retracts it, so the supply must overcome the spring from 0.2 MPa (28 psi) upward.
