
The AirTAC Airtac 3V-F Base 3V100M8F is a genuine 3V-F manifold base manifold base for 8 stations on one shared air supply. A base is a machined block: it carries no coil and no solenoid, so the valves that sit on it are ordered separately.
Three ports, two positions: a 3/2 solenoid valve either sends supply air to its outlet or dumps that outlet to exhaust. That makes the format ideal for single-acting cylinders, blow-off, clamping and piloting. The 3V100M8F carries eight such valves side by side on one shared feed, while each valve still makes its own NC or NO decision at its own station.

A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.

A manifold pays off most at this size: eight valves share one air feed, one mounting drill pattern and one wiring route, so fault-finding means checking one station at a time on a known-good supply. Choose each valve individually - normally closed to vent the outlet on power loss, normally open to hold it - and keep every coil voltage identical across the bank unless your panel is split.
Sizing still needs data we will confirm rather than quote here: send us the actuator or nozzle at each station and we will verify the valve choice from the datasheet. Where published flow and coil power are a prerequisite today, the documented 3V2 and 3V3 3-port bodies already carry those figures. For a double-acting cylinder, step up to the AirTAC 4V 5-port series instead.
